beginningceramics courses are designed to introduce the student to basic hand-building and throwing techniques as well as basic glazing and kiln firing methods. Coiling, slab construction and throwing on the wheel are explored in various clay bodies while the student develops a working vocabulary of 3D and ceramic arts terms. Experimental techniques are also explored.
